William Snyder taught me many things while I was in school. One of the most memorable lessons he gave was about where the picture was. A girl in my glass took a photo of a kid petting a llama, or alpaca I can't really remember. Anyway he went up to the photo took both his hands and shrunk the 8x10 photograph into a 4x5 rectangle around the hand amongst the wool. He said this is where the picture is. This taught me a few things. 1.) Remember to look for details in everything 2.) They a photograph is cropped can change they way it's viewed.
In the spirit of 2 I took one of my photographs and cropped two different ways. Can't decide which I like best, the original, version A, or version B. What do you think?
