October Favorites

October pretty much kicked off the start of competitive sports sectional, bands competitions and spelling bowls. The whole month felt like it had this intense charge. Before game rituals were taken very seriously and the whole energy surrounding the field of play was elevated. I can tell not just by the emotions of the athletes, musicians and students but how I feel. Each time I surprise myself with how nervous I get watching the clock tick down and the stillness the comes over the crowd. This was October for me. Thanks for looking.

September favorites

It feels like September flew by. Actually it's feeling like 2018 is flying by. The month was a mix of feature hunting, daily assignments and high school sports. For the most part my stories are in early stages, partly because I've been lax in shooting them and partly because the amount of stories has dwindled. That's the challenge, trying to keep all of the story work going and to keep your stories at different working stages so you're never bored. With sectionals starting and the daily sports shoots lessen I'll hopefully get back into working on my stories. Thanks for looking

August Favorites

Football, features, festivals, first day of school and a Trump campaign rally. August felt like a steady stream of looking for photos. I think the hardest part was trying to find photos from situations where there were a bunch of photographers all pointing their lens in the same general direction. How to find something different; that was the real challenge this month. Thanks for looking.

July Favorites

For me, July always feels like a busy month. Even though school is out there are still festivals every weekend along with the week long 4-H fair. Thanks for looking.

June Favorites

In June two of my longer stories published and the rest of the month was filled with daily assignments and the end of high school sports. Thanks for looking.
