A rainy day with Catherine

It was a chilly drizzly day and I was able to spend the whole day with Catherine. Here's some of my shots. Catherine was worried about losing most of her possessions if the city marshal came, so she got rid of her bed, refrigerator, and most of dining room furniture.

The photos that you wish would fit in

I'm it's something that every photographer struggles with. You have this photograph that you really love, it's composed the exact way you wanted, the only problem is that it doesn't fit in with all of your other photos. It doesn't really tell the same story that all of your other images are. Here are a few of mine.

Quick Shoot

Today was a busy day and I didn't get to spend as much time with Catherine as I originally planned/wanted. But here's from the hour I did see her for. Luckily she was able to keep her house for this week, "One little victory at a time,".

Catherine Lennon

I've started working on a project about Catherine Lennon. She is a mother of three and a grandmother of eight and she is close to losing her home. This past week has been a waiting game. Waiting for the city marshal to board up her home and remove all of her belongings.

Me and Lee

I've checked out a bunch of photo books from the library from Lee Friedlander to Carl de Keyzer. I'm going to basically play copycat and try and learn from each photographer. Imitation is the best form of flatter.

Old Images

Since I have to get ready to move out of my apartment in 82 days, I've started to look through my things figuring out what I need to get rid of. After being tired of looking though my art history notes trying to decide if I needed to know about Cosimo or Lorenzo de Medici, I turned to my first hard drive. A 250 gb hard drive. Here are some of the pictures I liked the best from my first year.

Agate

My family is currently hosting a French high school student, Agate. She will be returning to France tomorrow and I wish I could've had more time to get to know her. Her English is very good and kudos to her for living in another country with people she's never met, none of who speak French. Here's a picture of her playing the piano, which she plays beautifully, and my father listening.
