June favorites

June marked the end of the school year and the beginning of summer. It hasn't been too hot yet but with July a day away I know that soon little league and fireworks will dominate the afternoon and evenings. Thanks for looking.

May favorites

May started off busy with a Sunday feature that the photo staff planned and designed together. And then the rest of the time was spent keeping up with the daily grind. Thanks for looking. 

  

April Favorites

For April I tried to work on portraits. Any small assignment that was news coverage rather than a story or feature shoot I tried to take the time once I got what I wanted for the paper I worked to get more comfortable with portraits because they're not my strong suit. The rest of the month was spent planning a Mother's Day package and a few shoots for stories I'm working on coupled with the daily news and sports assignments. Thanks for looking.

March Favorites

March wasn't the busiest month here in Midland but I did have the chance to shoot a few Easter egg hunts, the Michigan primary, the end of high school basketball and of course some maple syrup collecting. Thanks for looking.

February Favorites

February brought two snow storms to Michigan so I spent those days searching for winter weather features in between covering a tennis tournament the end of regular seasons for basketball teams. This year I'm working on shooting portraits and trying to get more comfortable with directing people in them. So with Lent starting I went and shot portraits of Catholic schools students with Erin. Luckily the church has a interesting door. Thanks for looking.
